What are the effects of sea pollution ?
Disruption on marine lifePlastic is a huge enemy to sea animals. When it gets into the sea it can not decompose so it stays in the ocean until some animal mistakes it for food and then chokes on the plastic. Animals that are most often the victims of plastic include turtles, sharks, dolphins, crocodiles, sea birds and crabs.

Reduce oxygen content in water
Most of the rubbish such as plastic in the ocean does not decompose. They will stay in the ocean for many many years. All these rubbish needs oxygen as it decomposes, so the oxygen levels will go down. When oxygen levels go down, many marine animals like whales, turtles, sharks and dolphins will find it harder to live.

Disruption of food chainPollution prevents sea animals from eating their food. For example, sharks die because there is no fish, turtles die because they think plastic bags and different kinds of rubbish is there food. Also, chemical and waste gets wash into the ocean, these chemical get eaten by small animal then by larger animal, it affects the whole food chain. Sometime, it can make us very sick too, like getting cancer.
